Volunteer
Drivers for transportation program. We need volunteer drivers
from all areas of the county to transport Skamania County clients
to medical and social service appointments in Skamania County,
the Portland/Vancouver metro area, White Salmon, Hood River
and The Dalles. Volunteers can get their trips paid for and
do personal errands while the client is at their appointment.
Mileage is reimbursed at 36 cents per mile.

-A low mileage (under 60,000 miles) well-maintained truck or car
-Volunteers to become involved in our blood services, disaster
and Health and Safety programs in the local area.

Hope Farms, Inc.:
Our agency
is a non-profit organization licensed by the state of WA as
an Adult Family Home specializing in the care of developmentally
disabled adults. We have many on-going needs to maintain the
facility. The support of United Way of Klickitat and Skamania
Counties has played a crucial part in helping us meet these
needs. Over the years the monies from United Way have gone toward
maintaining our vehicles and purchasing new appliances for the
homes. One important purchase was that of a generator capable
of providing power to our water system and heating to our emergency
shelter during power outages.
